I am delighted to be taking part in the Hugo Burge Foundation Makers Market & Open Studios!
Come and see me on the 1st & 2nd June 2023. Timed entry tickets are free* and can be booked online, last entry 3pm, (to give you adequate time to look around).
*If you wish you can make a charitable donation to support the Hugo Burge Foundation to support artist residencies and local community projects, if you donate, you will be entered into a raffle to receive a handcrafted chair from the award-winning Marchmont Workshop.
The Hugo Burge Foundation Studios (situated 500m from Marchmont House), are set around an old stables courtyard (beautifully restored in 2020), and are normally only open by appointment, so this is your chance to visit and talk to the makers along with some resident and visiting artists. There will also be a ‘Makers Market’ where local makers (that’s me and this lovely list of folks**) will showcase their works, and a variety of catering outlets.

Who will be there?
**As well as the resident artists, I will be bringing a botanical flavour to the weekend, I’m looking forward to displaying some of my fabrics and wallpaper at the show, alongside prints and cards.
As well as myself, the Makers Market exhibitors will be:
Margaret Woodliff-Wright – fabulous handcrafted hats and headpieces.
Martha Ellis – unique and beautiful hand or laser cut works, including wall-mounted pieces.
Natural Little Bee – award-winning handmade natural skincare products.
Sara Rhys – illustrated prints.
Katie Warner – handcrafted willow baskets.
Tuppence – beautiful items for the home and garden.
Jenny Ozwell – pottery and wares.
QuayStones – jewellery made of 100% recycled metal from certified sources.
Redbraes Pottery – ceramics.
Walled Garden and Glasshouse Tours
I’d also highly recommend the mini Walled Garden and Glasshouse Tours, with Head Gardener Toby Loveday, these are free from 12pm, you can also stop at the Glasshouse Kitchen for an elderflower fizz before heading back out to listen to some live music in the Garden Colonnade
Free Timed Entry Tickets will be available for the event – book here >>
There will also be live music, coffee, pizza, milkshakes and ice cream, what more could you want?
