This year the BISCOT exhibition is the launch site for the new Florilegium at RBGE,which has been set up to record the botanical gardens living collection with botanical illustrations and paintings.
I first displayed at BISCOT in 2014 with my fern paintings and was awarded a silver. It was a great experience and the beginning of a new chapter in my work life. At the show RBGE approached me to see if I would consider doing their Diploma in Botanical Illustration… Looking back, I have come so far with my botanical illustration work, a journey I hadn’t anticipated at all! I feel that I’ve grown as an artist, a gardener and as a person (honest gov!). I am really looking forwards to this return, bringing my Ariseama paintings to the show – now just got to finish the last one!!!
