An original watercolour of the Golden hornet crab apples.
This Golden Hornet crab apple grew outside my old office at the Bush Estate in Midlothian, it really brightened up a winter’s day with its fantastic golden fruits, and when the first frosts appear so do the birds! I absolutely loved working on the texture of the bark, the tiny inclusions and structures around the pedicels, the marks on the fruits and the lacy lichen – there is so much to see in this one branch!
