In February 2021 I was asked to take part, along with photographer Nico Utuk, in CreativeMornings Edinburgh panel discussion – subject are you “Born Creative?”. It was an honour to be selected to present with Nico and to chat about inspiration, challenges, motivation, what it’s like to be an artist and whether you need to be born creative or if anyone can learn to be an artist.
As you may have noticed this talk took place a while ago in the depths of lockdown, it took a while to appear in the archives because after this talk CreativeMornings Edinburgh took a well deserved break. However it’s now available and if you fancy a watch the link is below. CreativeMornings, staffed by volunteers from creative industries, present free events like this one every month in dozens of cities, the volunteers who run each branch put in a lot of work crafting talks and panel discussions and I highly recommend them, as it’s great to connect and learn with other artists and creatives.
